Life is challenging, I know!

Especially because in our culture we are not taught how to properly take care of our energy!

That’s right, we are taught how to brush our teeth, stay clean, hopefully not be smelly, and all of the other hygiene practices, however it isn’t the norm to teach about energetic hygiene.

And I want to change this.

I want to discuss, teach and explain some of the different practices I use to disconnect from the outer world and rejuvenate the inner world. These are so integrated into my everyday life I forget what life was like before them. And I know firsthand how one can begin to find balance in a few minutes per day.

Everyday is filled with new situations that challenge us physically, mentally. emotionally and spiritually, draining our precious energy reservoir into never never land. It is easy to unconsciously tether yourself to these situations, people, outcomes and feelings. It also happens that it is easy for others unconsciously leave energetic tethers on you.

No offense but I can feel your aura from over here…. You mind backing off!

Do you ever feel like you can’t let go of or stop thinking about a situation? This is likely because of an unconscious connection you have to it. These tethers are like energetic siphons, continually drawing the life force out of you without your awareness and mostly without theirs’. I need to clarify that this is different than consciously thinking about something, such as visualizing a desired outcome or even receiving insights or clarity on a situation.

I know this from my own experience which is why I practice this as often as I brush my teeth. To tell the truth, I practice this more..

We as contemporary people need to understand the importance of this energetic hygiene. Why you ask? This is the vital energy you need to do your work and perform all of your tasks throughout the day. When your energy is being depleted you may feel physically drained and for example, not motivated to do your exercise, or even emotionally drained from constantly thinking about the past.

Not only is it easier than brushing your teeth, it is extremely helpful to come back to your body each day with the intention to disconnect these tethers and refill your energy reservoir. I have found when I can disconnect these energy chords, I can move past and through a challenge easier. This gives me the space to learn from past experiences  while maintaining good energy hygiene!
