Juggling your to-do list, shopping, organizing dinner parties, work, and family can be tough. During this time of year it’s easy to become overwhelmed. The holidays can easily take you down if you aren’t strategic with your daily routine, and consistent with your self care practices. Trust me, it doesn’t have to be like that! If you want to thrive this holiday season it will help you to strategize and make a list of what you CAN and WILL do to support yourself on a daily basis. When you make a conscious choice to keep consistent, supportive routines, you are saying heck yea to your health, setting a tone that orients you towards a state of thrive. Are you catching my drift? It is possible for you to not just survive this holiday season, but enter the new year in better condition than you are in now. So then, how do you keep cruising through each holiday building momentum rather than loosing it? Here are my 7 tips for keeping peace of body, mind and spirit during this fun time of year. Making the aligned choices will keep you feeling on top of your game, so empower yourself with these simple tips and invite a sense of trust this season. Remember to let go of the need for perfection and enjoy the little details!
Here are my 7 tips
- Drop the need for perfection & trust it is enough.
- Give yourself time to do less, be more and feel more.
- If /when you do drink alcohol, give yourself at least 3 hours before bed to hydrate (sleep is important).
- Keep a consistent morning routine (See my video series on this here)
- Stay consistent with your movement/yoga practice ( 5 minutes is better than none).
- Eat slowly to prevent overeating.
- Come back to gratitude.
So a big take away from this is to remember the importance of rest. Invite a sense of appreciation, gratitude is the antidote for stress and anxiety.
