How do we eat to create a life of balance and health?
I beleive that choosing to invest in the health of my body is the best investment I can make. Why? If my body is healthy I have a solid place for my mind and spirit to reside.
I experienced poor digestion, brain fog, bloating, gas, youname it for many years. About 6 years ago now I started to invest in my health with each action. I see each choice we make as a deposit in the healthy life bank account, or a withdrawal fro this account. The more we can bring awareness and understanding to each choice, the more opportunities we have to be in control of the type of life we want to experience.
First it begins with a question.
How is my state of digestive health right now?
How did I get here?
There is an alarming number of digestive diseases today, which can be prevented. Processed foods and the residues of chemicals that are found within them are part of the concern of these foods. They disrupt the microbiology within our guts that help with our immune system and do many other things that prevent us from experiencing true vitality.
When I began to eliminate these fods from my diet I began to notice the effects that real food has on my biology, and that supports my mind.
So I have a few tips I have to help support your physiology this fall.
- Eat an earlier and light dinner to help restore digestive health.
- Invite seasonal and locally grown produce into your eating routine. This will help introduce good micriobes that support your immue system.
- Begin to swap processed foods for fresh whole ingredients.
- Choose organically farmed produce and even wild when available. This limits the chemical residue exposure that destroys the microbes in the gut.
