It’s that time of year when it’s ok to give yourself a break. Have you noticed any shifts in yourself? Or maybe new or different cravings? Even if your local weather doesn’t reflect the new season, break into eating warming and cozy food.
Relax! Even if it’s just a week or two, take the time to release what you don’t need any more. From the subtle to the gross. Reflect on what you are trying to create or what you need to bring into your life.
Giving your digestion a break by eating simple food like kitchari will assist you through this process. It’s easy to make it taste awesome. Im not sure about you, but I don’t like food that tastes like crap!
Remember, by giving your body a break you can allow the subtleties to be noticed. What are they telling you?
Paying attention to the food we eat can be a powerful way to accelerate our evolution. Obviously we know that vegetables are good for us, but there is a deeper relationship as to why this is true.
Energy, which is vibration make up everything in our lives. From our shoes to our thoughts, everything is vibrating at different frequencies.
Take music or even sounds for example. Some gives you a feeling of peace and contentment while different music may ignite the feeling of anxiety or restlessness.
The same goes for food. Ever notice how irritable you feel after a not so friendly meal? How well does the food you love to eat resonate with the life you want to create? And how does the food resonate with your current state of being?
Food and how it reflects the rainbow is a great way to relate this message and thier reflection of the Chakra System. Ever wonder why you feel so safe and sound after some cooked root vegetables? These veggies relate to the earth element of our root Chakra or Muladhara, which is our place of safety and security.
This has been a topic of interest of mine for a while now and today I came across the work of Dr. Deanna Minich on the Yoga Healer podcast.
Dr. Deanna Minich is a Nutritionist and Yoga Practitioner and author of this book, ” Chakra Foods; A guide to the foods that can improve your energy, inspire creative changes, open your heart, and heal body, mind and spirit”. I’m excited to read this and relate my understandings of this topic to her ideas on “the food we eat and how they can heal us”.
This idea shows just how powerful our choices of what we eat can be, and how it manifests physically, spiritually and in our daily lives. We all have the power to bring peace and balance into our lives.
Love and light,
